I OPENED A “WORKING” AIR CONDITIONER IN PATTAYA… AND THIS IS WHAT I FOUND
At first, it looked normal.
The client said:
“It works… just not really cold anymore.”
No strange noises.
No major errors.
Just… not cooling.
But in Pattaya, I’ve learned one thing:
If an air conditioner “kind of works” — something is already very wrong inside.
So we opened it.
And this is where things changed.
Inside the unit:
The evaporator was completely blocked
Layers of dust, dirt, and bacteria
Mold forming deep in the system
Airflow almost completely restricted
Outside unit:
Clogged with dirt
Heat exchange nearly impossible
And of course:
Low refrigerant pressure
Here’s the truth most people don’t realize:
Your air conditioner doesn’t suddenly break.
It slowly dies.
Day by day.
Especially in places like Pattaya where:
Humidity is high
Dust is everywhere
ACs run almost 24/7
This leads to:
Weak cooling
Bad smell
Water leaks
High electricity bills
Overheating system
And eventually — expensive repairs.
So what did we do?
We didn’t just “clean filters”.
We performed a full professional service:
Deep chemical cleaning
Full disassembly and washing
Fan and drainage cleaning
Outdoor condenser wash
Refrigerant pressure check (R32 system)
Leak inspection
Temperature testing
And the result?
Cold air like new
Strong airflow
No smell
Stable operation
Output temperature dropped to around 10–12°C
That’s the difference between:
“Looks fine”
and
“Actually works properly”
If you’re living in Thailand (especially Pattaya), here’s what you need to understand:
Regular AC maintenance is NOT optional.
It’s the only way to:
Keep it efficient
Avoid breakdowns
Save money long-term
Most people wait until it’s too late.
Don’t.
If your AC:
Feels weaker
Smells bad
Or just doesn’t cool like before
It’s already time.
